Building a Family Sailboat

Mayfly 16

Inspiration to build a sailboat came from reading a book called "Boatbuilding for Beginners (and beyond)" by Jim Michalak. The book describes in great detail the building of the Mayfly 14 and includes four A3 plans.On investigation it transpires that plans are available for the Mayfly 16 which offers better seating and space for an outboard motor. The Mayfly 16 meets all my requirements for a first sailboat.Details of the Mayfly 16 are available at the following location:
